We are pleased to announce that Sit & Heat has received the Inclusive Entrepreneur quality mark from WerkBedrijf Rijk van Nijmegen. This prestigious quality mark was awarded by alderman John Brom during the annual drinks party of the Inclusive Entrepreneurs Network (ION) on 11 June. We are one of the six proud recipients of this award, alongside ROC Nijmegen, Maak24, Het Theezaakje, EQUANS and Road2Work@Dar.
At Sit & Heat, we are proud of our inclusive policies and the positive impact we have on the labour market. Our company distinguishes itself by providing employment opportunities for people with a vulnerable position in the labour market. In our in-house workshop, our heated cushions are produced by a diverse team of talented craftspeople, including (ex) status holders from countries such as Syria and Afghanistan. These employees bring valuable skills in the ready-to-wear profession and contribute to the high-quality production of our products.
One of the best aspects of our company is the diversity and cultural cohesion within our team. The merging of different cultures and backgrounds has created a rich and dynamic working environment where everyone can learn and grow from each other. This cross-cultural collaboration not only enhances the quality of our work, but also the cohesion and understanding within our team.
The Inclusive Entrepreneur hallmark recognises companies that are committed to an inclusive labour market. The label is awarded to companies that create job opportunities for people with a vulnerable position in the labour market and actively contribute to diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace.
At Sit & Heat, we remain committed to inclusiveness and diversity. We are determined to continue our efforts and create new opportunities for people who need a helping hand to find their place in the labour market. We are grateful for this recognition and look forward to continuing our mission.
Together, we are working towards an inclusive future!
On behalf of the entire Sit & Heat team we would like to thank everyone for their continued support and confidence in our company. We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to a future full of inclusive growth and cooperation.

Almelo February 2016 - Heracles Almelo's revamped stadium has now been in use for a few months. By installing a second ring on the stadium, Heracles Almelo has increased its capacity from 8,500 spectators to 12,080. "Sponsors used to pay a lot of money to be able to take seats on plastic tubs," says Rob Toussaint, Heracles Almelo's commercial director. "We have now gone completely the other way; we are investing in comfort and experience."
We invest in comfort
In various ways, Heracles Almelo has ensured that supporters can enjoy a match more comfortably. "Supporters can get food and drinks more easily without losing sight of the match," Rob says. "Seats have been moved further apart, the skyboxes are very spacious, the business area has become incredibly beautiful and the luxury business seats are heated with Sit & Heat."
Sustainable heating
"Sit & Heat is not only very comfortable, it is also much more sustainable," says Rob Toussaint. "I'm not a big believer in heaters. You're heating a lot of air around it and in the end, if you sit slightly left or right of it, you don't feel anything. Reactions to Sit & Heat are very positive, people love it! When a sponsor chooses Sit & Heat, he or she also gets the company's logo on the chair. I expect more and more sponsors to choose this".
A club with results
The extra investment in comfort already resulted in a substantial increase in catering turnover for Heracles Almelo. Visitor numbers have also increased positively. "How fantastically beautiful it has become, really great," is something Rob regularly hears. Currently, Heracles Almelo's goal is to maintain these extra turnovers and extra visitors. "To put Heracles Almelo on the map," says Rob. "As a premier league club close to home, with a friendly atmosphere. A club where visitors are entertained, where children are allowed to play football on the pitch after the match and where supporters can comfortably enjoy a match."
Katwijk December 2015 - From December, the Business Club of Kvv. Quick Boys can enjoy the matches comfortably and heated. With the Sit & Heat seat heating in the business seats, an extra dimension has been added. The sponsors of the Katwijk premier league club can now enjoy the home matches in comfort.
Enthusiastic sponsors
More and more, Quick Boys' Business Club is ''the place to be'' during Saturday home games. The steady growth of new sponsors is a striking example of this. In order to provide extra facilities for all these sponsors, the decision was made to purchase heated business seats. These sponsors were initially sceptical, but this turned into appreciation after the first cold and bleak home match. In record time, all 120 seats were sold. Next season, the purchase of another 40 seats is on the Business Club's wish list.
Saving
Many football clubs heat their spectators using gas or electric heaters fixed in the roof. With this method of heating, a lot of heat is lost to the outside air. With built-in Sit & Heat systems in the seats, Quick Boys is the first football club in the Netherlands to heat its Business Club members in a sustainable way. This direct way of heating saves 95% of energy compared to traditional heaters. In view of all the discussions about climate change, Business Club chairman Bart van Kruistum is therefore very pleased with the savings achieved by Sit & Heat.
Eredivisie clubs with Sit & Heat
Heracles Almelo, with their vision of sustainable growth and sporting innovations, will soon be the first premier league club with Sit & Heat business seats. The Sit & Heat heating system will be installed in Heracles' current business seats.
